Consultation is a must for this treatment

Wrinkle reductions one of the most popular facial aesthetic treatments today. At Beauty Basics we offer a non-surgical treatment using Botulinum Toxin® or Botox as it is popularly known to most people. Botox is highly effective with an excellent safety record and has been used professionally for over 15 years without any known adverse side affects.

Both men and women can benefit from the treatment to reduce and eliminate the appearance of frown lines, forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet and other smile lines. As we get older, our skin loses its elasticity through various constant facial expressions as well as being damaged by the sun or smoking. By injecting small quantities of purified botulinum protein into the desired areas will relax the facial muscles and smooth out the skin giving you a youthful and natural look.

The wrinkle reduction treatment is relatively quick and simple and you will only feel a slight discomfort from the injections. Our experienced practitioners will discuss the procedure beforehand and assess the areas you would like treated. The whole process may only take approximately 20 minutes.

What are dermal fillers?

Commonly refered to as Restylane, dermal fillers are injections of hyaluronic acid gel that help restore your skin’s volume, creating softness and revitalizing your appearance.

What are dermal fillers used for?

Hyaluronic acid, abundant in youthful skin, changes in distribution and function as we age and it's these changes that produce the characteristic signs of aging. Restylane is a hyaluronic acid gel that closely resembles the hyaluronic acid occuring naturally in the body, which means it reduces the risk of an inflammatory reaction or other side effects. Dermal fillers help replenish your skin's supply of hyaluronic acid, helping revitalize and 'plump up' your skin, instantly reducing the appearance of lines and giving your skin a softer look.

Will I be suitable for the injections?

Your Clinician will assess your suitability for dermal filler injections during a free initial consultation. The consultation will involve suitable medical testing and an examination will also be taken. Restylane is a hyaluronic acid gel.

When should I not have dermal filler injections?

Do not have dermal filler injections if you:

  • have an infection where the treatment will be injected

  • are allergic to any of the ingredients

  • are pregnant, or think you may be pregnant

  • have a permanent implant placed in a treatment area

Cheek enhancement is performed to improve the appearance of cheeks that have become sunken or hollow, or have begun to sag with age. The treatment can also highlight the cheekbones. Cheek enhancement is performed using injectable fillers to temporarily improve the volume of the cheeks, increasing definition and fullness

Some people can have a sagging jawline which can be a sign of ageing. Others may genetically have an under formed or weak jawline which can greatly affect confidence. A defined jawline is a very desirable look, and a strong jawline can be the most striking feature of a person’s appearance. Dermal filler can be used to stiffen the skin on a jawline and define the chin and jowl area, decreasing the weakness of an undesirable jawline. Dermal filler to the jaw can also give a face lift effect by improving the definition
